"Not boasting, but we have the best thing in the world."
Bro. Henry Michel
Origins of Eastern Camp
The origin of the first ACC church camp has its roots traced to heels of World War II when Brother Henry Michel, in concert with Brothers Edward Baer, Philip Braun and Gaius Braun, organized and convened a Camp meeting in Bloomington, Illinois in 1947. In the following year, the second church Camp in Canandaigua, New York experienced what some consider to be the greatest revival among our churches. Since then, Eastern Camp has continued to be a place of spiritual renewal and revival for over 75 years. These camps offer an environment dedicated to God, where souls are called by the hearing of the Gospel and the bonds of brotherhood in Christ are strengthened.
